Description
The IntegraRack IR-40FSA solar panel racking system is fully adjustable from 15° to 40°. This makes it an ideal solution for locations with various solar angles throughout the year. Adjust the angle as the seasons change to capture the optimal angle in every season.
IntegraRack’s frames are designed for simplicity and durability. They are light and easy to ship, and it’s possible to install a complete 10-panel solar array in about 100 minutes. These frames must be anchored, but installation and anchoring does not require railing, earth augers, post pounding, or other large machinery.
IntegraRack offers three mounting options, one of which requires a concrete footing. The other two options do not require concrete.
- IntegraRack’s Concrete Slab/Footing Lag Bolt Mounting Kit provides the bolts and washers necessary to mount 11 frames into pre-cast concrete surfaces.
- IntegraRack’s IR AnchorSpike Mounting Kit includes 22 hollow spikes and a two-part epoxy kit. The hollow spikes pass through the IntegraRack frames and into the ground. The spikes have holes in them, and as the epoxy fills the spikes, it seeps through the holes to anchor the frame.
- IntegraRack’s IR EarthBallast Mounting System provides one 3’x50’ roll of geotextile material and one tube of epoxy for adhering the material to the frames. The frames are positioned, the epoxy is applied to the base, and the material is placed over the frames. Rocks or dirt are then piled up over the material to hold down the frames.
Solar systems mounted with the IR-40FSA frames withstand various windspeeds depending on the panel size, the mounting type, and the angle. When installed with solar panels up to 32sqft, the IR-40FSA withstands winds between 65mph and 140mph. With panels up to 24sqft, it withstands winds between 70mph and 160mph.
Regardless of the racking angle, solar panels up to 32sqft withstand up to 65psf of snow load, and panels up to 24sqft withstand 100psf of snow load.
To calculate how many frames a system needs, add one frame to the total number of solar panels in a row. For example, if there are 10 solar panels in one row, that row needs 11 frames.
