The IR-EW15's wind rating depends on how it is anchored and on module size. The ratings below are pulled from Kirsten Wind Tunnel data and mechanical load testing.

Maximum snow load is 60psf for modules up to 24sqft and 40psf for modules up to 34sqft. In lateral load testing by Phoenix National Laboratories, the IR-EW15 frame itself showed no permanent deformation. However, when the load reached 1,540 pounds, the solar module's own frame began to yield while the IR-EW15 frame did not.

Two large-format residential or commercial solar panels, one on the east-facing side and one on the west-facing side, tied together at the peak by the Ridge Coupler Brackets. Each frame takes modules up to 34 square feet, with a minimum module length of 69 inches.

You’ll need one frame for two panels (one facing east, one facing west), plus an additional frame to start each row. For an array of 6 panels facing east and 6 panels facing west (12 panels total), you would need 7 frames.

It depends on how the frame is anchored and on module size, ranging from 100mph up to 180mph. The 180mph rating requires the bolted IR SlabBallast option at 2,000 pounds of hold-down per frame section with modules up to 24 square feet. No. The IR-F2 Flange Clamp Bonding Bracket clamps the module and bonds it in the same step, replacing separate mid and end clamps and removing the need for rails. Eight brackets come with each frame.

The IR-F2 bonds each module to the frame, but grounding the finished array to NEC 250 and NEC 690, including any bonding between frames, should be completed by a qualified professional such as a licensed electrician or solar contractor.

Not anywhere. EarthScrews need medium-to-high-density compacted soil, and they are not compatible in regions with frost depths greater than 20 inches. Each screw should be site-tested to hold at least 1,000 pounds of uplift. For loose, sandy, rocky, or deep-frost sites, the EarthBallast or SlabBallast options are the better fit.
