Product Summary
Epoch's distribution blocks give each accessory cable its own threaded landing point at the battery, so you can stop stacking ring terminals on a single post. You get two blocks, one per polarity, with four M8 connection points on each.
Specifications:
- Two distribution blocks per kit, one for positive and one for negative, with fastening hardware
- Four threaded M8 connection points per block for copper ring terminals and lugs
- For 12V to 48V DC battery systems
- Does not fit M10 battery terminals, such as those on the Essentials 12V 334Ah MC
- Distributes connections only, so each branch circuit still needs its own fuse or breaker

About the Epoch Heavy-Duty Power Distribution Block
Charger, inverter, fuse block, monitor: every accessory wants a spot on the battery terminal. Ring terminals seat best one at a time, flat against clean metal. Epoch notes that a stack of lugs on one post can stop seating flat, which raises resistance and lets them work loose under load. These blocks give each cable its own threaded point, so every lug seats flat and torques down properly.
Keep positive connections on one block and negative on the other, never both on the same block. Cover live terminals with boots or barriers so a dropped wrench never finds a path.
Fusing and Wiring an M8 Distribution Block
A distribution block spreads out connections, but it doesn't protect them. Give each branch circuit its own fuse, sized to its cable. For the larger branches, like an inverter-charger or a DC-DC charger, Littelfuse MEGA fuses come in 60A to 350A ratings at 70V.
Crimp copper lugs sized for M8 hardware and the wire gauge of each run. Our custom battery cables are made to order from 6 AWG to 4/0 AWG.
Not sure what size each branch needs? Our team is happy to help with sizing.

Frequently Asked Questions
These blocks tidy up accessory connections at the battery. For main distribution on a larger system, use a busbar with a published current rating. Good examples are the Blue Sea Systems PowerBar 1000A or a Victron Lynx Distributor with MEGA fuses.
