Product Summary
Epoch's tray for its biggest Essentials batteries gives the 12V 460Ah or 24V 230Ah a padded base and two straps, so the whole pack stays put on a van floor, an RV basement shelf or a boat's battery platform. It adds barely an inch of height, which leaves the compartment space for the battery and its cables.

About the Epoch 460Ah and 24V 230Ah Battery Tray
At 84 lb, a 460Ah battery carries real momentum in a hard stop or a beam sea. Epoch's data sheets for the Epoch 12V 460Ah Essentials and the 24V 230Ah Essentials call for a tray, strap, bracket or enclosure that keeps the battery from sliding, tipping or striking nearby equipment. They also call for hardware rated for that weight. This is the tray Epoch lists for both.
Two straps of different lengths pull the battery down onto a foam pad. The mount stays low and open, so the terminals stay in reach for cable work and inspection.
Mounting a Group 8D Lithium Battery in an RV, Van or Boat
Fasten the tray to a structurally sound surface with fasteners that suit it. How well the battery stays put comes down to the fasteners, the surface and the strap tension, so take the time to get all three right. Leave space beyond the battery's footprint for terminal hardware, cable bend radius, ventilation and room to lift it out for service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Epoch sells it for the 12460A-H and 24230A-H. The V2 and V2-T Elite batteries have their own Epoch 8D mounting bracket. Any other battery needs measuring against the tray and straps before you commit.
Often not. Some boats, compartments and local rules do call for a full enclosure. Confirm what applies to your installation before you settle on an open tray.
