Product Summary
Link side-by-side Epoch GC2 modules so their BMS (Battery Management System) boards share data and the bank runs as one. At three feet, it reaches the next module in a standard tray, with room to route it clear of terminals and hold-downs.
Specifications:
- 36in (3 ft) CANbus communication cable for Epoch GC2 lithium golf cart battery modules
- Connects the CANbus port on one GC2 module to the next module in the bank (each module has two ports)
- Lets the modules share BMS data so a multi-module bank charges and discharges in step
- Pre-terminated plug-in connectors on both ends, with no crimping
- Carries data only; power runs through your heavy-gauge battery cables
- Sized for neighboring modules in the same tray or compartment

About the Epoch 36 Inch CANbus Cable for GC2 Modules
GC2 modules talk to each other over CANbus, and this is the short link that ties neighbors together. One end goes in a module's CANbus port and the other in the next module's. The BMS boards share data from there.
Three feet is the right reach for modules sitting side by side in a standard tray. It runs along the cases and away from the terminals without leaving a loop of spare cable to snag. If one module sits in a different compartment, use the Epoch 84in GC2 CANbus cable for that hop. Keep the 36in links between neighbors.
Installing GC2 CANbus Cables and the Terminator
Epoch says to plug the cables in with the modules switched off. Once the bank powers up, confirm communication on the gauge or app. If you run the Epoch GC2 battery fuel gauge, its included 120 ohm terminator goes on the module at the far end of the bank from the gauge.
The CANbus cable carries data only, so each module still needs its heavy-gauge power connection. Our custom battery cables are made to order from 6 AWG to 4/0 AWG at the length your layout needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
One for each link between neighboring modules. A two-module bank uses one cable, and a three-module bank uses two.
Epoch says no. Use the Epoch GC2 CANbus cable for module links, not a standard Ethernet or networking cable.
