Description
The lightweight IntegraRack IR-W5MBCB solar panel racking solutions are easy to ship and can be easily relocated after assembly. These 5° MultiBallast solar panel mounts are crafted from aircraft grade aluminum. Their weight and small profile make them easy to ship and install.
Mount any sized solar panel on these racks and weigh them down with standard cinder blocks from a local hardware store, or use Sikaflex 1A Polyurethane Sealant to attach each mount directly to a flat roof.
Each kit includes two aluminum bases, two H brackets, four IR-F2 bonding brackets, and two bolts.
A row of solar panels needs one kit per panel plus one additional kit per row. For example, a row with 10 solar panels needs 11 kits. Once assembled, a 24sqft panel can withstand 100psf snow load and 100-140mph windspeeds. A 34sqft panel can withstand 65psf snow load and 80-115mph windspeeds.
It’s possible to use these MultiBallast mounts to install solar panels at a 0° or 5° angle on a flat roof, a patio, or the ground. Flat roofs often remain unused, but with these solar mounts, it’s possible to use this space for solar production.
When configured at 5°, the MultiBallast mounts produce a W configuration, with half the panels facing west and half the panels facing east. This optimizes production by capturing sunlight from various directions throughout the day.
It’s important in any electrical system to ensure proper grounding and bonding to prevent electrical shorts or potential differences in voltage between components. UL certification proves components pass specific safety thresholds, and IntegraRack’s IR-W5MBCB conforms to the UL 2703 mechanical and bonding requirements, meaning the system is properly bonded when correctly installed.
Choose IntegraRack’s 5° MultiBallast solar mount system to mount any sized solar panel on a flat surface.
