Reliable Whole-Home Backup Power You Can Scale, Monitor, and Trust
Whether you're a licensed electrician designing a client's off-grid solar system or a homeowner building an independent and renewable energy source, the ECO-WORTHY PowerMega 314 delivers 16.08kWh in a floor-mounted design with an active balancing BMS (Battery Management System), a fire suppression module, and the ability to combine up to 15 units in parallel for a maximum capacity of 241kWh. The attached rollers make it easy to relocate, and its size and scalability make it a practical choice for off-grid living, home backup power systems, or small commercial systems.
Built for Home Energy Storage
The PowerMega 314 fits in garages as backup power during grid failures, in workshops to run large power tools, and in off-grid sheds running on solar power or another alternative energy source. It includes RS485, RS232, and CAN communication for connection with most inverters. A pack of two batteries includes a free 400A busbar for simplified installation.
Premium A-Grade LiFePO4 Cells with Active Balancing
ECO-WORTHY designed this battery with 16 A-grade LiFePO4 3.2V 314Ah cells engineered specifically for stationary home storage. Each LiFePO4 cell provides a stable and long-lasting renewable energy solution which maintains more than 80% capacity after 10,000 cycles at 0.5C charge and discharge. This is enough to continue operating above 80% capacity for over 24 years when cycled once daily.
The integrated BMS continuously monitors the battery and provides intelligent protection against overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, short circuit, and high or low temperature. Each scenario includes specific thresholds and recovery parameters. Cell overvoltage protection triggers at 3,600mV with a 1-second delay, while cell undervoltage protection activates at 2,700mV. Discharge overcurrent protection operates at two levels: 210A and 250A, providing a graduated response to fault conditions.
Multi-Layer Safety
LiFePO4 cells remain stable under normal conditions, but ECO-WORTHY includes additional safety features to protect the battery, the energy system, and your home. Besides the BMS, the PowerMega 314 includes a dual pole 125A circuit breaker. This combined 250A breaker can independently trip to disconnect the battery if the BMS fails or the battery encounters a catastrophic short circuit.
The integrated aerosol fire suppression system adds additional protection. While LiFePO4 battery fires seldom occur, this feature activates if the temperature reaches a dangerous level to eliminate a fire.
Smart Monitoring: Touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi, and PC Software
The PowerMega 314 includes a built-in 7in HD color touchscreen that displays real-time data including module voltage, individual cell voltages, current, temperature, SOC (State of Charge %), and any active alarms or protection events. The touchscreen also makes it possible to program battery settings and configuration.
For remote monitoring, built-in Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity allow you to check battery status from your smart device. A dedicated RS232 port connects to ECO-WORTHY's PC host computer software for comprehensive data monitoring. This is useful for both commissioning and troubleshooting.
Wide Inverter Compatibility through CAN and RS485
The PowerMega 314 includes both CAN and RS485 communication for connection with most inverter brands, including Victron. The CAN and RS485 ports enable closed-loop communication with the inverter to share information like SOC. The PowerMega 314 includes many communication protocols, and you can select the protocol through the integrated screen.
For parallel installations, dedicated RS485-IN and RS485-OUT ports handle battery-to-battery communication in a daisy-chain configuration. The battery DIP switch configures the unique battery address, with the default of address 1. Once connected and configured, the primary battery aggregates data from all other batteries and passes this information to the connected inverter.
Practical Installation Details
The PowerMega 314 weighs approximately 280lbs, so plan to install it with two people. It ships in a wooden crate and arrives on lockable caster wheels for easier positioning. Rotate the red gear clockwise to unlock, then counterclockwise to lock it in place once positioned.
Each shipment includes the battery, a user manual, battery-to-battery cables, a USB-to-RS232 cable, and a battery communication cable.
The operating temperature range spans -4°F to 131°F for discharging and 32°F to 131°F for charging, with optimal performance between 59°F and 86°F. The BMS automatically prevents charging below freezing to protect the cells.

Frequently Asked Questions About the ECO-WORTHY 48V PowerMega 314 LiFePO4 Battery
The PowerMega 314 uses RS485 and CAN communication to connect with most mainstream residential inverters, including Victron.
For the communication daisy chain, you'll use standard RJ45 cables between the RS485-OUT port of one battery and the RS485-IN port of the next. For power connections, you'll need appropriately rated busbars and cables.
Yes. Charge all batteries to 100% before connecting in parallel. This prevents high currents from flowing between batteries charged at different levels, protecting both the cells and the BMS.

The battery enters hibernation (sleep mode) under several conditions: prolonged over-discharge protection, extended standby without activity (24+ hours with no mains power, charging, or discharging), or if the lowest cell voltage drops below the sleep threshold. To wake it up, either connect a charger that outputs greater than 48V, or press and hold the power button for 3-6 seconds and release. The RS232 connection can also wake the unit.
