The Epoch 12V 300Ah Heated battery can sustain a load of 200A and a surge capability of 400A (10s). With a sturdy design, the Epoch 12V 300Ah is maintenance-free. Can I mount Epoch batteries on their side?

This is generally acceptable. Epoch states the following on their website:

"It is generally acceptable to position lithium batteries on their sides because lithium-ion batteries do not have any liquid electrolyte that can leak out. Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, which contain liquid electrolytes and must be kept upright to prevent spills, lithium-ion batteries use a solid or gel-like electrolyte. This means they can be oriented in different positions without any risk of electrolyte leakage, making them more versatile in terms of installation and use. However, it’s still essential to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for safe handling and installation to ensure optimal performance and safety."

Please note it is generally NOT ok to install lithium batteries upside down.
