About the Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced
The CCA is the indoor gateway between your rooftop Tigo TS4 devices and the Tigo Energy Intelligence monitoring platform. It does not communicate with TS4 units directly. Instead, one or more Tigo Access Points (TAPs) are installed at the array and communicate wirelessly with nearby TS4 units using mesh networking. Each TS4 acts as a repeater, extending the signal from unit to unit back to the TAP. The TAP then sends that data to the CCA over a wired RS485 connection. The CCA processes the data and uploads it to the Tigo cloud over your internet connection.
What You See in Tigo Energy Intelligence
The monitoring platform shows real-time and historical production data at the individual panel level. You can see which panels are producing, which are underperforming, and identify shading, soiling, or hardware issues down to the specific module. For systems using TS4-A-O optimizers, the platform also shows optimization activity and power recovery from shaded or mismatched panels.
What's Included and What's Not
This listing is for the CCA unit only. To build a functioning monitoring system, you also need:
- At least one Tigo Access Point (TAP) for wireless communication with TS4 units
- An RS485 cable between the TAP and CCA (not included with either product)
- An AC power supply for the CCA (not included, built into some inverters)
- An outdoor enclosure if the CCA will be installed outside (not included)
If you are starting from scratch, the CCA Kit includes the CCA, a TAP, a DIN rail power supply, and an IP67 outdoor enclosure in one package.
Modbus Data Logging
The CCA also functions as a standalone Modbus data logger. It can connect to supported inverters, energy meters, and sensors over RS485, logging their data to the Tigo Energy Intelligence platform alongside TS4 module data. This allows a single monitoring dashboard for the entire system. A TAP is not required for Modbus-only data logging.
