The EG4 Chargeverter Plus is a robust, high performance battery charger designed to charge batteries in a 48V alternative energy storage system. With a maximum output of 5.12kW at 240Vac and an ingress protection rating of IP54, this efficient power supply is suited for sheltered outdoor use and delivers reliable performance for on-grid and off-grid systems.

Optimized Power for Diverse Setups

This battery charger has an AC input voltage range of 90-264Vac, making it compatible with 120Vac, 208Vac, or 240Vac power supplies. The system automatically adjusts to provide optimal performance, outputting up to 5.12kW at 240Vac, 2.56kW at 120Vac, or 4.1kW at 208Vac. This gives a max charge current of 100A, 50A, or 80A respectively.

The adjustable charge voltage ranges from 40-60Vdc with a default setting of 57Vdc, and the adjustable charge current provides precise control based on your system's specific needs.

Designed specifically for generator use, the EG4 Chargeverter Plus excels where other chargers struggle. Lower budget generators can produce dirty power that fluctuates in voltage or frequency and creates unreliable sine waves. Advanced Communication and Control

The built-in RS485 communication port enables closed loop communication between the charger and properly equipped batteries, including connected EG4 batteries. This facilitates real-time data transmission, including battery state of charge data.

When operating without closed loop communication, the charger uses nominal battery voltage to control charging, maintaining proper functioning.

Automatic Generator Start Function

Connect your generator's automatic start circuit to the Chargeverter Plus dry contacts for added generator control. The Chargeverter can automatically start and stop your generator based on user defined voltage thresholds or SOC levels, saving time and fuel while ensuring your batteries maintain optimal charge. The adjustable preheat time (0-5 minutes) and cooling time (0-5 minutes) extend the generator’s longevity and maintain optimal performance.

Easy Installation and User-Friendly Design

The compact design measures just 4.3×16.1×7.1in and weighs only 13.67lbs, and the included mounting brackets and cables create a straightforward installation. The built-in LCD interface displays voltage, charging amperage, battery state of charge, power temperature, and more.
