The EG4 Battery Starter Kit is perfect for a system geared towards expansion. First, choose between the LL-S or LifePower4 lithium batteries and choose your quantity. Next, choose between a 3-slot rack or a 6-slot rack. Both are easily expandable, have pre-installed busbars for paralleling, and have wheel attachments for arranging the best use of space for your system.
For the 3-slot rack, we’ve pre-selected 2/0 AWG cable to connect the rack to the inverter. For the 6-slot rack, we’ve pre-selected 4/0 AWG cable to connect the rack to the inverter. Those wire sizes are appropriate for a full cabinet, so there’s no need to change cable if you start with 1 battery or fill the whole rack.
Lastly, there is an optional communication cable. This would make the run from your leader battery to the inverter or communication system, or to go between racks for larger expansion.
