RequiredThe inverter / charger is a combination unit that not only can turn the DC power generated by solar and stored in the battery bank into AC power, it can also convert power from external sources such as grid or generator to charge the batteries if the solar cannot keep up. The MultiPlus-II lineup from Victron has a reduced footprint from the legacy Quattro lineup, however, the Quattro's main advantage is that it has two AC inputs. Additional AC inputs are useful when you have multiple sources and want the system to automatically switch between them.

The Victron 24V MultiPlus-II 3kVA 2x120V Inverter is good for mobile or residential applications as an ESS (Energy Storage System) or as a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). This inverter has a two-pole transfer switch, allowing for multiple AC inputs.
