About the Blue Sea Systems 5194 MRBF Fuse Block
The 5194 gives each of its three fuse positions a dedicated input terminal. Each circuit is electrically isolated from the others, which makes it the go-to block for multi-output battery chargers where each output feeds a separate battery bank through its own fuse. It also works for any setup where three separate source circuits need individual overcurrent protection consolidated into one compact block.
Independent Source vs. Common Source
Because each circuit has its own input, the 5194 has no shared bus bar and no combined amperage limit. Each position handles up to 240A independently. If you need the opposite (one source distributed to multiple loads, like a single battery bank feeding an inverter, windlass, and thruster), the 5196 Common Source block is the right choice.
Wiring and Installation
All terminals can be oriented so wiring exits from a single side, which helps in tight engine compartments or battery boxes. The M8 stud terminals accept standard 5/16"-18 ring terminals and allow stacking for parallel connections. One-piece stainless steel flange nuts keep connections secure without needing a separate washer.
The block is ignition protected to SAE J1171 and safe for installation in marine engine compartments and fuel tank spaces. The clip-on insulating cover meets ABYC and USCG insulation requirements. Label recesses on the cover accept Blue Sea Systems square format labels for circuit identification.
