The EG4 314Ah Indoor WallMount battery provides up to 16kWh of home or commercial energy. It’s an excellent battery for use as primary or backup power in a grid-tied home or an off-grid installation. It’s possible to wire up to 16 of these batteries in parallel for total storage up to 256kWh. Since the average US home consumes 32-70kWh each day, this is ample backup power.
EG4 designed this battery with an integrated BMS (Battery Management System). This small device continuously monitors the battery voltage, temperature, current, and more to make sure it stays within safe limits.
This battery is designed to last for 10,000 cycles at 80% DOD (Depth of Discharge), and it has a 10 year warranty. This longevity makes it an ideal battery for long term investments.
The included CAN and RS485 ports make it easy to connect a wide variety of inverters to this battery, and it’s designed to integrate with EG4 inverters like the FlexBOSS21 and the EG4 18kPV.
It is also UL 1973 listed independently and UL 9540 listed with the FlexBOSS18 and FlexBOSS21. This listing proves the battery has passed multiple safety tests and can withstand high voltage, sudden increases in current, and many other situations. This certification is sometimes required in residential installations, so it’s important to check with a local AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) for compliance.
