IntegraRack IR-00MBDB MultiBallast DB Series, 0° Roof Mount, Rail-Free, No Penetration
SKU: IR-00MBDB0092

Product Summary
The IR-00MBDB MultiBallast DB Series is a low-profile, rail-free rooftop racking system that mounts solar modules of virtually any size, in portrait or landscape, without a single roof penetration. Each mount bonds to the roof with SikaFlex 1A polyurethane adhesive, and the four-component design assembles quickly in a flat layout across most common roof surfaces.
Specifications:
- Configuration: Modular rooftop mount in a 0-degree flat layout; racks modules of virtually any size in portrait or landscape
- Attachment: No roof penetrations; bonded with SikaFlex 1A polyurethane adhesive (sold separately)
- Roof compatibility: Corrugated metal, clay, concrete, composite and tile, TPO and asphalt, and cement board roofs
- Code compliance: Conforms to UL 2703 mechanical and bonding requirements when installed with Bonding Jumpers; array grounding per NEC 250 and NEC 690 to be completed by a qualified professional
- Wind rating (polyurethane bonded): Up to 150mph depending on module size and the number of base mounts per panel used
- Snow load: Up to 100psf for modules up to 24sqft, up to 65psf for modules up to 34sqft
- Packaging: Sold in per-panel kits; one kit is needed per module installed, plus one additional kit to start each row
- Warranty: 25-year limited warranty
- Included with each kit: (2) Aluminum DB Series Base Mounts with H Module Mounting Brackets, (2) Full-Length Rubber Grip Strips, and (4) IR-F2 Solar Module Flange Clamp Bonding Brackets.

IntegraRack IR-00MBDB: Modular Rooftop Racking With No Roof Penetrations
The IR-00MBDB MultiBallast DB Series is the low-profile member of IntegraRack's DB Series, built to mount solar modules at a 0° angle directly to a rooftop without drilling a single hole in the roof. It is a lower-cost, more versatile alternative to the standard MultiBallast system, and with only four main components it goes together quickly and keeps inventory simple.
Works on Almost Any Roof Surface
The DB Series is designed for a wide range of roof types, including corrugated metal, clay, concrete, composite and tile, TPO and asphalt, and cement board. Phoenix National Laboratories tested the mount's adhesive hold to tile shingle, sheet metal roofing, and cement board, as well as to concrete block, giving the roof-compatibility claims a tested basis rather than a purely theoretical one.
Adhesive or Ballast Attachment
The mount attaches with SikaFlex 1A polyurethane adhesive, an industrial-strength one-part sealant that provides the primary uplift resistance. This method doesn’t require penetrating the roof membrane, which preserves roof warranties and avoids the leak paths that come with lag-bolted systems. SikaFlex is sold separately so installers can buy the quantity a given job needs.
Bonding and UL 2703 Compliance
The IR-F2 Flange Clamp Bonding Bracket clamps each module to the mount and bonds it electrically in the same motion, with no separate mid clamps, end clamps, or rails. Four brackets ship with each kit. The rooftop foot brackets themselves are excluded from the UL 2703 bonding pathway, so for a UL 2703 compliant installation, DynoBond bonding jumpers are required between each panel and between each row. Grounding the completed array to NEC 250 and NEC 690 should be carried out by a qualified professional such as a licensed electrician or solar contractor.
Fast, Per-Panel Installation
Installation follows a simple loop: lay down the full-length rubber grip strips, place the first row of mounts, set the panels, secure them with the IR-F2 clamps, then lift each mount and apply the adhesive, repeating row by row. Because the system is sold per panel, plan on one kit for each module plus one extra kit to begin each row, which is the starting mount every row needs before panels are added.
Engineering, Testing, and Warranty
IntegraRack manufactures its racking in the United States and validates the DB Series through wind tunnel testing at the Kirsten Wind Tunnel at the University of Washington and through mechanical load testing by Phoenix National Laboratories, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab. The datasheet ratings are extrapolated from that test data. Every IntegraRack product is backed by a 25-year limited warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Each mount bonds to the roof with SikaFlex 1A polyurethane adhesive, so there are no holes drilled into the roof.
Corrugated metal, clay, concrete, composite and tile, TPO and asphalt, and cement board roofs. IntegraRack had the adhesive hold tested on tile, sheet metal, cement board, and concrete block.
The system is sold in per-panel kits. Order one kit for every module you plan to install, plus one additional kit to start each row.
Yes. The rooftop foot brackets are outside the UL 2703 bonding pathway, so DynoBond IR-B1 jumpers are required between each panel and each row for a compliant installation. Final grounding to NEC 250 and NEC 690 should be done by a qualified professional.
For the polyurethane-bonded system, ratings run from 100mph up to 150mph, depending on module size and whether each panel uses two or three base mounts. See the ratings table above for the full breakdown.
The IR-00MBDB fits modules of virtually any size, in portrait or landscape, with load ratings tied to module area up to 34 square feet.
