Description
The EG4 BOSSBox Cable Kit provides the essential power and communication cables needed to connect EG4 WallMount 280Ah batteries to EG4 hybrid inverters within the BOSSBox enclosure. This pre-assembled cable set eliminates guesswork and ensures proper connections between your batteries and inverters with factory-specified cable lengths optimized for the BOSSBox configuration.
The kit includes heavy-duty 2/0 AWG (70mm²) power cables rated for continuous 200A operation at 48V nominal system voltage. The 72-inch (6-foot) battery-to-inverter cables provide adequate length to route from the battery compartment to externally mounted inverters (18kPV, 12kPV, FlexBOSS18, or FlexBOSS21) while maintaining minimal voltage drop. For multi-battery configurations, 24-inch battery-to-battery paralleling cables enable proper daisy-chain connections between units.
Each power cable features pre-installed Degson ESP-series quick-connect terminals that match the weatherproof connectors on EG4 WallMount batteries. These push-to-connect terminals eliminate the need for torque specifications or special tools – simply align and push for a secure, vibration-resistant connection rated for outdoor use. The opposite end provides raw wire for flexible termination options at the inverter, accommodating various lug styles and terminal configurations.
Communication cables are included for closed-loop BMS integration, enabling real-time battery monitoring, state-of-charge reporting, and coordinated charging/discharging between the batteries and compatible EG4 inverters. The communication wiring supports RS485 and CAN protocols for seamless system integration and remote monitoring capabilities.
Important: One cable kit is included with each BOSSBox purchase. Additional cable kits must be purchased separately when installing a second inverter or paralleling multiple batteries. The standard kit supports one inverter connected to one battery. For systems with two inverters or two to three batteries, plan to order supplementary cable kits to ensure proper connections for all components.
All cables meet NEC requirements for battery interconnections and are sized to handle maximum surge currents while maintaining less than 2% voltage drop under full load conditions.
