The EG4 Battery Firmware Adapter keeps batteries performing at their best. This handheld device uses the latest firmware, transferred from a computer, and updates the battery with a few easy steps.

The EG4 Battery Firmware Adapter is a simple tool designed to update EG4 battery firmware without connecting the batteries to the internet. Simply download the correct firmware to a computer from the EG4 website, copy the firmware to the Firmware Adapter, connect the Adapter to the battery, and update the battery with the Adapter buttons. The process only takes a few clicks. 

The Adapter connects to and updates one battery at a time, and that battery must not be connected to other batteries or any inverters with either power or communication cables. The Adapter stores the firmware update files so they can be used to update other batteries of the same model as needed. 

A single firmware download is used to update batteries of the same model. This means internet access is not needed after the initial download. All cables needed for the computer connection and battery connection are provided with the Battery Firmware Adapter. 

The firmware update may use multiple files. Each update takes about 40 seconds, and upon finishing, the Success or FAULT light indicates the update status.

It’s important to have only one firmware update package on the Firmware Adapter at a time, and that package must be for the correct battery. If updating multiple battery models, copy just the needed files for each battery update, and delete other packages before updating a different battery model.
