The Blue Sea Systems MEGA/AMG Safety Fuse Block provides a sealed, ignition-protected housing for high-current circuit protection in demanding environments. Rated for 300A maximum current with 4/0 cable, this holder accepts both MEGA (Littelfuse) and AMG (Bussmann) fuses from 100A to 300A.
The IP66-rated sealed cover completely protects the fuse from water, dust, and debris – essential for battery compartments, outdoor installations, or anywhere moisture might be present. The ignition-protected design meets strict marine safety standards, making it safe for use around batteries that may produce hydrogen gas during charging. Cover breakouts with removable plugs allow cable entry from any direction, simplifying installation in tight spaces.
Connection points feature stainless steel M8 x 1.25 studs that accept standard 5/16″ ring terminals. Torque these to 120 inch-pounds (13.6 Nm) for secure, low-resistance connections that won’t loosen over time. The insert-molded studs ensure they won’t spin or pull out under heavy cable tension. One-piece stainless flange nuts simplify installation while resisting corrosion.
The UL 94-V0 rated base withstands high temperatures without deforming, while the clear inspection window allows visual fuse status checks without removing the cover. The compact design measures approximately 4″ x 2″ x 1.5″, fitting easily into battery boxes or electrical panels. Mounting holes accommodate standard hardware for secure attachment to any flat surface.
