The Marinco 6364CRV.VPK provides a female NEMA connector rated for 50A at 125/250V in a three-pole, four-wire grounding configuration. This connector kit mates directly with NEMA SS2-50P inlets commonly installed on RVs, boats, and portable power distribution systems.
The connector housing accepts cable diameters from 1-3/16 inches, accommodating standard 6AWG through 4AWG conductors. Four internal terminals provide connection points for dual hot legs, neutral, and ground conductors. The self-centering internal cord clamp mechanism secures the cable using stainless steel screws, preventing conductor pullout under mechanical stress. Terminal screws accept bare wire or ring terminals with recommended torque of 35-40 inch-pounds for secure electrical connection.
The twist-lock design requires a quarter-turn clockwise rotation to engage the locking mechanism after insertion into the mating inlet. This positive lock prevents accidental disconnection under vibration or cable movement. The connector features corrosion-resistant brass contacts with silver plating to minimize resistance and prevent oxidation in marine or outdoor environments. The included weatherproof boot provides environmental protection at the cable entry point. The flexible thermoplastic elastomer boot slides over the cable before termination and seats against the connector body with an interference fit. A threaded sealing ring creates a watertight seal when the connector engages with the inlet, achieving IP56 protection against water ingress when properly installed.
The yellow glass-filled nylon housing withstands impact and UV exposure while providing electrical insulation. Ribbed exterior surfaces ensure positive grip during connection and disconnection operations. The dust seal at the cord entry prevents contamination of the terminal compartment during storage or transport. Operating temperature range spans -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C).
