Description
The Sol-Ark 15k inverter has two sets of DC input connections rated for a maximum of 200A each. Since the inverter can draw up to 275A, using just one of these input connections would not allow the inverter to operate at full capacity without tripping a circuit breaker. This bus bar will split current equally across both of the input terminals ensuring that the input circuit breakers do not trip.
While it would be possible to run two sets of cables to the inverter from the battery bank, it is far easier and elegant to install this busbar to join the two input connections together inside the inverter. Once joined, one cable that is rated for the full 275A the inverter needs can then be ran to the battery bank.
