Description
The Pytes 1U Hub is a communication interface designed to enable parallel communication between multiple clusters of Pytes batteries and compatible inverters. It manages data flow for up to 7 clusters with 8 batteries per cluster, supporting a maximum system capacity of 286.72 kWh.
The hub is required for systems with more than 16 batteries to maintain stable inverter communication. It supports both CAN bus and RS485 protocols through RJ45 ports, allowing integration with inverters from Growatt, Sol-Ark, Luxpower, SRNE, and other manufacturers that use these standard communication protocols.
This rack-mountable unit occupies 1U of space in standard 19-inch server racks. It operates on 48V DC power supplied through an XT60 connector, which can be sourced directly from the battery bank or through a separate 48V transformer. Front panel DIP switches allow configuration for different inverter protocols without requiring additional software.
The hub functions as a central control point, receiving data from each battery cluster’s master battery and consolidating this information for transmission to the inverter. This ensures synchronized charging and discharging across all connected batteries while preventing communication conflicts in large-scale installations.
Compatible exclusively with Pytes brand batteries including the E-Box-48100R series and V5 series. The hub does not support batteries from other manufacturers. Each battery cluster connects to the hub using standard network cables, with cascade wiring between batteries within each cluster.
