Description
The Cummins Onan P4500iDF 50A Paralleling Kit is designed to connect two compatible Cummins generators for increased power and operating time. This simple device is easy to plug into the positive and negative terminals on the P2500i, P4500i, P4500iDF, and P5000iDF EFI. Once connected, the kit can receive any 50A plug from an RV, food truck, or other location that can plug into the NEMA 14-50R receptacle.
This parallel kit internally connects the output of both generators and provides the combined 120V output to both pins of the receptacle. Loads on either L1 or L2 are equally shared across both generators, preventing overloading. This parallel kit does not create a 240V across the L1 and L2 connection.
Parallel generators can run large loads that a single generator could not power. Two generators can run twice as many loads as a single generator, and it’s easy to remove the parallel kit when needing less power. This makes the parallel kit ideal for people with fluctuating power needs.
Two inverter generators running at 50% load are approximately half as loud as a single larger inverter generator running the same loads. This is because the paralleled generators each run at half the speed of the larger generator to maintain equal power output.
Two P4500iDF generators are easier to transport than a single P9500DF EFI. Each P4500iDF is only 104.7lbs with wheels, making them easy to team lift or roll. The P9500DF EFI, a generator with similar power output to the two P4500iDFs, weighs 211.6lbs, making it more difficult to move, even with a partner.
Choose the Cummins Onan P4500iDF Paralleling Kit for maximized power, increased runtime, and a 50A receptacle for your mobile needs.
