Description
Aptos MAC-800 Microinverter, UL 1741 Dual Solar Panel Microinverter Module up to 800W, IP67 NEMA6
One microinverter. Two panels. Maximum harvest from every corner of your array.
The Aptos MAC-800 microinverter connects to two solar panels simultaneously and converts the combined DC power to AC power at the module level. Built for residential and commercial grid-tied systems, the MAC-800 pairs MPPT technology with dual-panel input to deliver panel-level optimization across the entire array — without the cost of installing a separate microinverter for every single panel.
Why Microinverters Matter
In a traditional string inverter setup, the weakest panel drags down the output of every other panel on the string. Microinverters solve this by processing power independently at each unit. If one panel is shaded, soiled, or degraded, the others continue producing at full capacity. The MAC-800 applies this same logic across two panels per unit, making it an efficient and cost-effective choice for installations where panel-level independence is a priority without requiring one inverter per panel.
Built-In Rapid Shutdown
Solar panels installed on homes and commercial buildings must comply with NEC Rapid Shutdown requirements, which are designed to protect firefighters and emergency responders by quickly reducing system voltage when needed. The MAC-800 includes built-in NEC-compliant Rapid Shutdown, so your installation is code-ready without the need for additional shutdown devices.
MPPT for Every Panel
Each MAC-800 includes Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for both connected panels. MPPT continuously monitors solar output conditions and adjusts in real time to extract as much energy as possible — particularly valuable in locations that experience partial shading, variable weather, or panels mounted at different azimuths or tilt angles.
Low Harmonic Distortion for Safe Power
The MAC-800 delivers AC output with low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), meaning the power it produces has stable voltage and frequency. Low-THD power is safe for sensitive electronics — lights, computers, fans, and appliances — and reduces the risk of interference or equipment damage downstream.
Cloud Monitoring Included
The MAC-800 integrates with Aptos Solar Technology's cloud-based monitoring platform, giving you real-time visibility into production data and trend tracking for every unit in the system. Compatible with third-party monitoring and balance-of-system devices, the MAC-800 fits naturally into a variety of residential and commercial installations.
Installation Notes
When planning your MAC-800 installation, be sure to include the Aptos AC Bus Cable to daisy-chain microinverters along each row and route harvested power to the rest of the system. The AC Connector Unlock Tool allows safe disconnection of the AC Bus Cable from the microinverter, and the Bus Connector Unlock Tool is used to open connectors for maintenance. Seal any unused connector ends with the AC Bus End Caps to protect against moisture and debris.
