About the Outdoor Weatherproof Bell Box
These die-cast aluminum boxes provide a weatherproof enclosure for branch circuit wiring in outdoor and exposed locations. The threaded 1/2" conduit entries accept standard threaded fittings and 1/2" rigid or IMC conduit directly, with no additional connectors needed. Unused holes are sealed with the included closure plugs. The powder coat finish resists corrosion and scratching, and the NEMA 3R rating covers rain, sleet, and ice exposure.
Choosing Between 1-Gang and 2-Gang
The 1-gang box fits a single device: one receptacle, one switch, or one GFCI. The 2-gang box fits two side-by-side devices or a single wide device like a decorator-style GFCI. Both accept standard weatherproof covers (sold separately). Choose the hole count based on the location and quantity of conduit runs entering the box. Unused holes stay plugged.
Conduit Entry Locations
The number of holes determines where conduit can enter. The 3-hole versions have one entry in each end and one in the back. The 4-hole version adds a second entry on one end. The 5-hole 1-gang and 7-hole 2-gang versions provide entries on all four sides plus the back, giving maximum flexibility for conduit routing from any direction.
