About the Eaton BRP30L200 200A Main Lug Load Center
The BRP30L200 is a main lug only (MLO) load center, meaning it has no built-in main breaker. It is designed to be fed from a separate main breaker or disconnect upstream. This makes it a common choice for subpanel installations, generator interlock setups, and situations where the main overcurrent protection is located elsewhere, such as at a meter main combo or a separate disconnect panel.
With 30 spaces and 60 circuits, this panel accepts tandem (twin) breakers in every position, allowing two circuits per space across the entire bus. This gives you maximum circuit density without needing to step up to a physically larger enclosure.
Plug-On Neutral Platform
Eaton's plug-on neutral (PON) design eliminates the traditional neutral pigtail wire on AFCI, GFCI, and dual-function breakers. Instead of landing a separate neutral conductor on the neutral bar, PON breakers clip directly onto the neutral bus through a connection built into the breaker body. This reduces wiring time, frees up gutter space inside the panel, and results in a cleaner installation with fewer loose conductors in the wireway.
The twin neutral bars are positioned in the wireway rather than behind the breakers, which keeps them accessible for balancing loads across the bus. Neutral bar screws come backed out from the factory, so conductors land without extra prep.
Standard thermal-magnetic BR breakers also work in this panel. The plug-on neutral feature is only relevant for breakers that require a neutral connection, such as AFCI and GFCI types.
Enclosure and Mounting
The enclosure is NEMA 1 rated for indoor use only. It measures 29.12×14.31×3.88 inches and weighs 26.2 lbs. At 14.31 inches wide, it fits between standard 16-inch on-center wall studs. Surface and flush mounting are both supported.
The cover is included and features keyhole slots for easy hanging during installation. A rigid cover spine maintains structural integrity when knockouts are removed. Self-leveling drywall offset tabs allow the panel to sit flush against finished wall surfaces without shimming. The tangential main knockout at the top eliminates the need for conduit offsets on the service entry.
Knockouts throughout the enclosure are positioned for common wiring entry points and designed for easier removal. The tangential main knockout at the top eliminates the need for conduit offsets on the service entry, and an extra 1.5-inch knockout is included for wire bundling to maximize gutter space per NEC requirements.
All fasteners in the panel use slotted square combo screwheads, so one driver handles the entire installation.
Bus and Wiring
The bus is aluminum, rated for 200A at 120/240V single-phase. Lugs accept conductors from #1 AWG through 300 kcmil. The interrupt rating is 10,000 AIC (10 kAIC), which is standard for residential applications.
This model (BRP30L200) does not include a ground bar. If your installation requires a separate ground bar (which it will for any subpanel application where neutrals and grounds must be isolated per NEC 250.32), you will need to purchase one separately. Eaton's GBK series ground bar kits are compatible with this enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. This is the non-G model. However, Eaton's GBK series ground bar kits can be purchased separately and installed in the enclosure.
This is a main lug only (MLO) panel with no built-in main breaker or service disconnect. It can be used as a service entrance panel only if a separate listed main disconnect is installed upstream.
Yes. The 30-space, 60-circuit rating means every space on the bus is tandem-rated. You can use single-pole tandem (twin) breakers in any position to reach the full 60-circuit capacity.
Yes. All Eaton Type BR 1-inch breakers, both standard and plug-on neutral, work in this panel. The PON feature is only used by breakers that require a neutral connection (AFCI, GFCI, dual-function). Standard thermal-magnetic breakers install the same way they always have.
No. The BRP30L200 is NEMA 1 rated for indoor use only. For an outdoor installation, Eaton offers the BRP30L200R, which is NEMA 3R rated for outdoor/weather-resistant applications.
