Description

These Pre-Crimped MC4 Solar Controller Cables are designed to provide a secure and reliable connection. These cables are custom-cut up to 150ft (See different lengths above). The set includes both a positive and negative cable with MC4 connectors on one end, with raw cable on the other side to connect to a solar charge controller or PV-rated breaker.

Current Connected makes these cables in-house with the Staubli Tool Set, ensuring that every connection is properly cut, crimped, and torqued to the UL listed criteria. The UL 4703 solar panel cable is specifically designed for outdoor use, making it resistant to moisture, UV rays, and corrosion.     Arrived in perfect condition. Nicely made. But as I worked with them, I noticed that the MC4 connectors were a bit loose. I had to tighten them. Insulation is very thick. Had to use an alternative wire stripper — my Jokari cable knife wasn’t able to cut deeply enough, even at its deepest setting. What technique should I have used?
