Description

The Victron 24V Quattro comes with 2 independent AC inputs, allowing for different types of connections, such as a generator or grid power. The Quattro automatically connects to any incoming power source, regardless of which was added first. In the event of a grid failure, the Quattro has a transfer time of less than 20 milliseconds, allowing for UPS applications. In the case that generator or grid power isn’t enough, the Quattro can step in and use battery power to help cover the loads.

These Victron 24V Quattro 5kVAs can be paralleled up to 6 times and are capable of both split-phase and three-phase operation. When paired with a GX device, this inverter can be remotely monitored and adjusted through a connected VRM (Victron Remote Monitoring). The Victron 24V Quattro 5kVA is good for any offgrid or ongrid systems.

Question:

Does PV to battery charging function work while unit is in "search mode" drawing only 15w?

Cabnman

Answer:

The PV function is not handled by this Quattro inverter, rather it would be handled by the solar controller that operates independently of the inverter entirely. This means that the inverter can be completely powered off or in the power-save mode and solar would still be able to charge the batteries.
