Delivery on time -- product age is concerning
The Pytes V5 batteries showed up on a pallet and in good physical condition. I was a bit dismayed to find that the Date of Manufacture was June 2025 and I received these in sealed boxes at the end of May 2026... one year with no charging as they sat in some warehouse. PYTES recommends maintaining battery SOC at 40–60% during storage, and confirms self-discharge of the LFP battery pack is 1–2% per month. The good news is that the batteries all seemed to charge up initially from about a 50% SOC so there should be negligible aging (perhaps less than 0.4% estimated capacity loss). So while the age of the batteries was 12 months, the chemistry of the Lithium batteries was completely able to weather the delay. These batteries come excellently packed from the factory, physical damage is unlikely, even for such a heavy package. I have no regrets!
