Description
The Cummins Quiet Connect generators provide continuous power to off-grid installations or provide emergency power to grid-tied systems. They run on either natural gas or propane and come as 13kW, 17kW, or 20kW models. These models include cold weather durability, noise levels below 65dB (decibels), and remote management options.
The 13kW model outputs up to 13kW continuous power, which is enough to power most home appliances simultaneously. The 17kW and 20kW models are excellent for homes requiring more power as they can run nearly every home appliance at once.
All models include four load outputs with sequential prioritization. When the generator first turns on, it immediately provides power to the loads on output 1. It then monitors the outgoing power, and if it can safely power additional loads, it powers the loads on output 2. It continues monitoring the outgoing power and automatically activates additional outputs when able.
When the load demand exceeds 95% of the generator’s maximum capacity, it automatically turns off loads, starting with load output 4 and ending with load output 1, until the outgoing power drops below 95% total capacity. In this way, the loads on output 1 continuously receive power, making it an ideal output for all critical loads such as refrigerators and other daily necessities.
These generators function in most climates. At temperatures above 40°F, they operate without starting aids. At temperatures 0-40°F, they require an alternator heater, and at temperatures below 0°F, they require an additional extreme cold weather kit, an alternator heater, and 0W30 oil.
As quiet generators, these three models run quieter than 65dB (decibels) at 23ft. This is about as loud as a normal conversation, meaning the generators produce minimal disturbance.
Remote management is possible through an internet connection. When connected, the generator can link to the free Cummins app, Connect Cloud. This is available for download on any smart device or computer. The RMS (Remote Monitoring System) makes it possible to remotely start or stop the generator, to view recent events or faults, to change the exercise date and time, and more.
The automatic exercise feature automatically activates the generator at a user configured interval. When exercising, the generator turns on briefly to run system diagnostics and maintain proper functioning. This happens in either regular mode or in crank mode. Crank mode only cranks the engine but does not actually start it, allowing the generator to complete diagnostics with reduced noise and engine wear.
Choose one of the Cummins Quiet Connect generators to power a small or medium sized installation as a primary or emergency power source.
