The Victron Battery Balancer is meant for Victron 12V batteries seriesed into a 24 or 48V system. It is not meant to balance 12V or smaller systems but to maintain larger-volt systems. This battery balancer will only work if the batteries are at a similar charge or voltage state. You will also need 3 of these balancers for a 48V system.

Description

Ensure Optimal Battery Performance with the Victron Battery Balancer

The Victron Battery Balancer is made to ensure the batteries are balanced and stay at the same voltage state. The balancer compares the voltage across the two connected batteries and draws a current of up to 1A from the battery with the highest voltage. It repeats this process until the batteries are all at the same voltage. This process ensures that each of the batteries will get the same charge and discharge rates. The battery balancer helps maintain the battery life and slightly extends the rated cycle life and also helps reduce the risk of damage due to overvoltage.

Note: The Victron Battery Balancer is for 24 and 48-volt battery systems constructed with 12-volt batteries. Battery banks operating over 24 volts will require multiple balancers. Consult the product manual or contact our expert team for guidance on specific configurations for your application.
