Description

The Epoch 12V 460Ah group-8D battery can sustain a load of 300 Amps and surges of 500 Amps (for 30 seconds). With a cycle life of 3500 cycles, the Epoch 12V 460Ah is maintenance-free. This battery comes with a mountable battery gauge and an external On/Off switch. The Epoch 12V battery comes with a smart BMS that allows for both over-current and short-circuit protection.

The built-in Smart-BMS has low-temperature protection and internal heating for charging in sub-zero temperatures. Furthermore, the CANBUS communication with Victron GX devices eliminates the need for an external monitor (smart shunt).

Answer:

By the manufacturers recommendation you can mount this battery on either side just not completely upside-down.

Question:

Will this battery start a generator that requires 350 amps to start up?

Answer:

It can do 1300amps for 1 second and 500amps for 30 seconds, so it falls under the range needed to start that generator up.
