Description

Victron’s Ekrano GX is simultaneously an energy system controller and monitor. This compact package simplifies installation as these components are included in a single 4.88×7.36×1.17in bundle. Just connect the system components to the Ekrano Controller, and mount it to an easily accessible location.

When mounted with the metal mounting bracket, the Ekrano is waterproof with a rating of IP54. This makes it ideal for a boat dashboard or similar installation. The other mounting option is two spring loaded clamps. These are best used when the space behind the Ekrano leaves no room for a screwdriver or other tools.

It’s important in any energy system to view real time information about every component. WiFi connection enables continual remote access to view and configure the system from anywhere in the world. The VictronConnect app is compatible with any smartphone, and it’s possible to access the VRM portal (Victron Remote Management) from any computer.

The VRM portal provides information such as battery SOC (State of Charge %), temperature, tank levels, and AC from shore or pedestal power, a generator, or other AC power inputs. This information shows on the touchscreen, so it’s easy to make sound decisions for the energy system.

System configuration is done through the VRM portal or directly on the Ekrano. Programmable relays allow for turning devices on or off based on chosen factors, like sensor levels or battery voltage. Other common GX settings limit shore power, adjust loads due to tank levels, or activate and configure AGS (Auto Genstart).

When a two-wire-start generator is connected to the energy system, the Ekrano automatically activates it under specific conditions. These conditions are configurable and include quiet hours. The Ekrano provides nearly endless automation options, all of which depend only on the components present in the system.

In any installation, it may be necessary to prevent unauthorized access. The Ekrano enables this with a recessed button on the back. This button enables or disables the touchscreen function, effectively locking the device for viewing only.

When the Ekrano screen is locked and the Ekrano is connected to the internet, the VRM portal and VictronConnect app still enable complete system monitoring and configuration.

A computer can access the VRM portal from anywhere in the world, and while all systems are private by default, it’s possible to share systems with specific people or make them publicly available for viewing. However, even public systems are configurable only by system owners and their appointed administrators.

The Ekrano’s many ports include VE.Direct, VE.Can, VE.Bus, Ethernet, USB ports, programmable relays, tank level inputs, temperature sensor inputs, and more. Bluetooth access also enables additional connections to devices such as RuuviTag temperature and humidity sensors and Mopeka tank level sensors.

Choose Victron’s Ekrano GX to monitor and control a complete energy system with an integrated touchscreen.
