The EG4 Indoor WallMount 48V 280Ah LiFePO4 battery is a 14.3kWh battery, suitable to power small off-grid systems or back up a grid-tied home. For larger installations, parallel additional batteries for commercial or industrial systems.
This battery charges at any temperature between 32°F and 113°F, but as a self-heating battery, it’s still possible to use this battery below freezing. The internal heater activates when the battery temperature falls below 32°F. When activated, the heater warms the battery until it’s safe to charge or discharge again. This feature makes the EG4 Indoor WallMount battery an ideal battery for most climates.
This battery operates with a continual discharge capacity of 200A and can surge over 300A for 3 seconds. This means it can run loads at 200A and still surge to meet sudden demands such as starting a compressor. This makes it a perfect battery for powering complete energy systems with frequent high surge demands.
It can be complicated to find a battery and inverter combination, but EG4 has eliminated this difficulty. All EG4 inverters pair with the EG4 Indoor WallMount battery, making it easy to choose the best inverter plus battery option for your system. These batteries also facilitate closed loop communication with other inverters, including Victron.
EG4 sells a convenient conduit box designed specifically to pair with their batteries and inverters. This conduit box includes knockouts to fit with this EG4 battery and their inverters, easing the installation process and increasing the installation speed.
The EG4 Indoor WallMount battery also includes two red 2/0 AWG power cables and two black 2/0 AWG power cables. Both sets of cables include a Degson connector on one end for easy connection to the matching Degson connectors on the battery. The other end is raw wire. Different inverters require different cable connections, so an energy system may require additional lugs.
Degson has designed these connectors so it’s impossible to improperly connect the cables to the battery. This feature increases overall safety in the system and makes the entire Degson connection system ideal for both installers and DIYers.
LiFePO4 batteries are some of the safest in the market, and EG4 has incorporated additional safety features by making this battery RSD (Rapid Shutdown) compatible. When activated, an external RSD button turns off all connected EG4 batteries and inverters. This is vital in an emergency as it immediately removes power from these sources.
Additional features include internal busbars and an incorporated BMS (battery management system). The busbars are correctly sized to connect up to three batteries in parallel before needing an external busbar. This makes it easy to connect the battery to the rest of the energy system and eliminates the need for additional external busbars in smaller systems.
The incorporated BMS monitors the battery to improve performance and prolong battery life. It continually monitors the battery state of charge to make sure the battery is never overcharged or undercharged. This keeps the battery healthy and fully operable for at least 8,000 cycles at an 80% DOD (depth of discharge). The BMS tracks cell voltage and measures the battery temperature in four locations. This information is displayed on the battery LCD touchscreen.
The touchscreen and the indicator LEDs provide a quick way to monitor the battery. The touchscreen is used for some initial setup functions, such as selecting the communication protocol, and it’s a simple way to immediately identify crucial battery information such as voltage and amps.
Two LEDs indicate key information about the battery. A solid green LED indicates that the battery is idling, and a blinking green LED indicates the battery is either charging or discharging. A red LED indicates alarms.
These lights provide a quick way to evaluate the battery as they indicate if troubleshooting or maintenance may be required. The ring of LED lights around the EG4 logo indicates the battery SOC (State of Charge %), which is visible even from the other side of the room.
Overall, the EG4 is an excellent choice for an off-grid, grid-tied, or industrial application. As a self heating battery, it’s ideal for many climates. Choose the Indoor WallMount battery, a battery that is powerful enough to start large motors while running other loads.

Recently purchased this battery. Only problem I have with this battery are the legs/feet. They are totally crap. M8 all thread legs bend if you look at them wrong, with plastic feet. The legs are not adjustable. The M8 all thread can only thread on your the battery with 2 threads. The feet are nice & shiny. Besides that love the battery. Batteries are mounted in my garage. Replaced the legs/feet with a perfectly cut pressure treated 2×12 that does not extend outside the battery & not under the front panel. Standing 4′ away you can not see it.

Wonderful experience so far with EG4’s Indoor WallMount battery. Shipping was quick (considering truck freight) and professional in both communication and delivery. The only hitch so far is having to make my own cables. While I have done this for high-current applications before, I was not expecting to have to buy tools again to make them before being able to use the battery. Pre-terminated Degson + ring lug cables for various inverters would greatly simplify the install.

Upgraded to these batteries from lead acid. SO much better. Combined with EG4’s 18kPV the whole system works awesome. Been using now for 3 months and all is running smoothly. A big thanks to Current Connected for answering all our questions before and after purchase. Fantastic customer service and so nice to have someone answer the phone right away these days.
