Description

EG4’s 9,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU mini splits are ideal for heating and cooling a tiny home, shop, or other 300-600sqft location connected to AC power. These units are suited for most locations in the continental United States. They can heat during any outdoor temperature 5-86°F and can cool during any outdoor temperature 32-131°F. As dual heating and cooling units, they continuously maintain a comfortable temperature for living and working.

EG4 includes a pre-charged refrigerant line with each unit. This 16.4ft line connects without complicated tools, making it ideal for DIY systems. For installations requiring additional length, it’s possible to purchase additional line set extensions for a maximum line length of 49ft. 

These units have three modes: heat, cool, and fan. Once the user sets the desired temperature, the unit monitors the surrounding air with the integrated thermostat. The heater turns on when the temperature drops 5.4°F below the set point, and the air conditioner turns on when the temperature rises 3.6°F above the set point. 

Fan mode operates when the ambient temperature is less than 3.6°F above the set point in heating mode and more than 1.8°F below the set point in cooling mode. This allows the unit to automatically maintain the desired temperature without user input. 

It’s possible to monitor the unit through the Solar Aircon app. This app provides a simple platform to monitor the current temperature and to adjust heating, cooling, sleep mode, and more settings. Solar Aircon is available for download on either Android or iOS, making it widely accessible.
