Description
Epoch V2 Elite Series 48V 100Ah Lithium Battery – Premium Power for Demanding Applications
Experience next-generation energy storage with the Epoch V2 Elite Series 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery. This advanced lithium iron phosphate battery is engineered to deliver reliable power across marine, solar, RV, and off-grid applications. It stores up to 5.12kWh of renewable energy and features cutting-edge technology, with a high standard of performance and durability.
Key Features
Military-Grade Protection
The IP67 rating provides complete protection against dust and enables the battery to be safely submerged in water up to 3.3ft deep for 30 minutes. This feature protects the battery in rough seas or heavy rain, keeping the energy system running in nearly every weather.
Cold-Weather Performance
The integrated heating system enables safe charging in temperatures as low as -22°F and safe discharging in temperatures as low as -4°F. This makes it an ideal battery for off-grid locations in cold climates.
Smart Connectivity
Epoch’s Bluetooth-enabled iOS and Android apps make it possible to monitor battery health in real time. The battery gauge displays information including SOC (State of Charge%), voltage, current flow, and alarms. This comprehensive overview provides thorough insights into the power system for troubleshooting and maintenance.
Victron Communication Ready
CANBUS communication enables direct BMS (Battery Management System) communication with Victron systems like the Cerbo GX or the Ekrano GX. It’s possible to configure DVCC (Distributed Voltage and Current Control) to make either the battery or the GX device the active controller. When the battery is the active controller the GX uses the battery information as the set points. When the GX device is the active controller, the GX settings take priority.
Impressive Power Delivery
The 150A maximum continuous discharge (300A peak for 30 seconds) can start high-demand items like compressors, A/C units, or pumps while powering common household items like kitchen appliances and lights.
Scalable Energy Storage
The V2 series now supports up to 16 batteries in parallel for a maximum storage capacity of 81.92kWh, providing substantial energy storage systems tailored to your specific needs.

Can I mount Epoch batteries on their side?
This is generally acceptable. Epoch states the following on their website:
“It is generally acceptable to position lithium batteries on their sides because lithium-ion batteries do not have any liquid electrolyte that can leak out. Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, which contain liquid electrolytes and must be kept upright to prevent spills, lithium-ion batteries use a solid or gel-like electrolyte. This means they can be oriented in different positions without any risk of electrolyte leakage, making them more versatile in terms of installation and use. However, it’s still essential to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for safe handling and installation to ensure optimal performance and safety.”
Please note it is generally NOT ok to install lithium batteries upside down.
